Our host organisation, Hue Help, runs an active swim school with a drowning prevention program currently in place. This project will supplement existing programs by providing capacity building for Hue Help teachers in the area of environmental education.
2nd April until 31th May. Volunteers will be allowed to stay for as little as 2 weeks, although we highly recommend that volunteers come for at least a month if not the entire term. Time flies by so quickly here, and those that stay longer are often able to build a much stronger relationship with the children, the community and the NGO.
Drowning prevention and Environmental education are much needed in the country of Nepal as the majority of people do not know how to swim, and by combining Environmental education and river, conservation will be a great help to the community.
